1. Languange Function
The argumentative text is a genre of writing that requires the student to investigate a topicsense, collect, generate, and evaluate evidence, and establish a position on the topic in a concise manner. When writing an argumentative essay, you aim to show your readers that your argument is valid and makes sense.
In argumentative text, you will both contest the opposing argument and the support your position by supplying evidences.

• Thesis, usually includes a preview argument: it indroduces topics and indicates the writers position
• Arguments, consist of a point an elaboration sequence. The number of points may vary, but each must be supported by discussion and evidance
• Recomendation contain recomendation about the issue
3. Languange Component/Features
1. It contains the author’s thoughts, ideas, views, and opinions.
2. It is accompanied by logical reasons, facts or events that occurred, as well as information from several sources such as data graphics, pictures, and other things that can be accepted by reason.
3. It is presented using analysis and analogy. (menganalisis topik berdasarkan sumber terpercaya).
EXAMPLE 1 : BENEFITS OF EXERCISE
Sport has been an important part of human life since ancient times. Various types of exercise, whether done individually or in groups, have very important benefits for human health and well-being.
Did you know that one of the main benefits of exercise is maintaining physical health. With regular physical activity, our bodies can maintain a balanced body weight, increase muscle and bone strength, and strengthen the cardiovascular system. By exercising regularly, you can improve your quality of life and enjoy higher energy in your daily activities.
Not only does exercise have benefits for physical health, exercise is also beneficial for mental health. Physical activity can stimulate the production of endorphins, neurotransmitters that can reduce stress and improve mood.
Not only that, exercise also helps reduce symptoms of anxiety through a distraction mechanism and can even increase self-confidence.
By exercising regularly, you will feel more enthusiastic, think more clearly, and have a positive outlook on life.
EXAMPLE 2 : SOCIAL MEDIA INFLUENCE
In the current digital era, social media has become an inseparable part of many people's daily lives. Even though social media has the potential to have a positive impact, you also need to consider the negative impacts that arise from social media. This article will discuss the impact of social media on social interactions and individual mental well-being.
One of the biggest concerns about social media is how it affects social interactions. Even though social media allows someone to connect with friends or family who are far away, sometimes it actually reduces direct social interaction with those closest to them. People tend to focus on online activities on social media and instead ignore face-to-face communication to build deep relationships. In the long term, of course this can be detrimental to the development of social and individual skills.
The influence of social media on mental well-being is something that must be considered. Seeing posts that have been regulated by algorithms and have been curated by the account owner can cause feelings of inferiority and even social jealousy. Not only that, the pressure to get validation from 'likes' and 'comments' will certainly create digital addiction and feelings of dissatisfaction with every achievement you have. Many people actually spend excessive time on social media, even though this time could be used for rest or other more meaningful activities.
Social media certainly has a complex influence on modern life today. Even though it can make communication easier and share information, users must be wise in interacting on the platform.
Everyone must also understand the commitment to continue to prioritize direct social interactions and maintain mental well-being in order to be able to face an increasingly complex digital world.
